I starting buying Fisher Price Peek-a-blocks for my first son which is now five and I am now getting them for my new baby. I think they are great! They come in many colors, they make different noises, and have different textures on them. They enhance hand-eye coordinationas the baby grasps and stacks them. They stimulate hearing with many different fun sounds. The age is 6 months and older. They can be for a boy or a girl, and they are just the right size for little hands to hold and stack. Also the peek-a-blocks come in many subjects; animals, vehicles, sounds, shapes, holidays, and the alphabet. The larger sets come in there own clear plasic case that has a handle, so they are easy to store. I love these and my son does too. I think they are a great thing to have for any small child.
