Fisher Price Open Top Take Along Baby Swing —

Because of our frequent travels, we knew it didn't make sense to continue using the heavy and large baby swing we had enjoyed using with our first child.  This time, we looked for something lighter, smaller, and just generally more portable.  Fisher-Price's open-top take-along swing worked out just right for us!  Nicholas sat comfortably in the seat and enjoyed the panoramic view of everything in the room (since there were no hanging toys, waist-level bars, or superior support to block his view).  We had the option of choosing among five different speeds, but we tended to just stick with the one he seemed to like the most (number 3).  Its battery-powered motor was pretty quiet, and in the 6 months we used it, we only had to change the batteries once.  Our best experience with it was when we took our son along with us to a 4-day conference.  We were able to keep him in the room with us for most of the time; he just contentedly sat and enjoyed his swing, and we didn't disturb anyone.  It was a tremendous blessing!
