Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Rockin' Aquarium Gym Review Summary

Parents are not too thrilled with the Fisher Price Wonders Rockin’ Aquarium Gym. Reviewers agree that the toy is cute for infants, plays catchy songs, and is easy for a baby to activate. But the cons outweigh the pros and among them are the fact that the music grows old very quickly, the attached toys fall off too easily, and the music is too loud. Comments on this toy are negative across the board, with some saying “Don’t Let Your Baby Find Out About This High Decibel Nuisance” and another simply saying the toy is “Not Worth It”. In spite of its cuteness, it fails to deliver and it ranks among the lower rated Toy products designed for infants.

avoiding noisy toys, so over reggae

This is part of the Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders series, which has many fans. It's a playmat that rocks slightly, triggering lights and sounds with a reggae beat. I'm not big on lights and sounds at all, but HRH's father is a reggae nut and found the theme amusing.

I was dismayed when I realized the surface the baby lays on is not a mat or a pad like most playgyms, but hard plastic covered with a fitted sheet. An ironing board would be about the same in terms of a nice place to lie down. I understand it has to be a hard surface in order to rock, but it doesn't rock enough to be fun, it just feels...

I recieved this as a shower gift and overall I'm not really impressed.  My kids never found this toy interesting at all, it probably has gotten 10 hours of play in it's entire life span at my house.  It's music is redundant, it goes off anytime it wants, even in the middle of the night, and it eats batterys like crazy.  My kids got more entertainment out of the toys when they were detatched from the base then they ever did out of it at it's entirety.

This toy is just okay. My 6 month old seems to enjoy it, at least for 10 minutes. It does not do enough to hold his attention. He never liked it laying down. The only time he should interest i it was once he could st up on his own. And then he only like the flashing lights. So overall it will keep him occupied for a few minutes, but there are MUCH better toys out there. Im glad I got it as a gft and did not spend money on it.
