Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing Review Summary

The soothing motion of a baby swing has been upgraded to include not only back and forth swinging but side to side motion in the Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing. As part of the Ocean Wonders Collection, the cradle swing features a “nice mixture of nature sounds and little lullabies” to help calm and entertain fussy babies. The Ocean Wonders Cradle swing also features “a beautiful light up mobile that is very intriguing to baby,” and interactive fish toys for baby’s entertainment. With several speed, music and activity choices, “you can choose something that fits the moment.“ All these feature come with a price though... the price of batteries. Reviewer after reviewer recommend purchasing rechargeable batteries since they need to be changed every few days. Moments of calm for my baby with reflux

Initially I had hoped to avoid buying a swing since we were on a budget and cramped for space, but our daughter's reflux threw a kink in our plans. The swing helped soothe her until we got the GERD under control, and also allowed her to rest upright instead of on her back. We received this swing as a present when my son was born. It has 7 different speed settings, 4 different music choices, and 3 ways to combine the music, lights, and fish that go around the light. Also, it can swing side-to-side or front-to-back, which was a very nice option on the days our son didn't want to look at the TV, or just felt like another view. When we first registered for this swing, we liked it because the swing would go in both directions, but we had no idea how important a feature that would be. — I didn't know this, but some babies like to go side to side and some babies like to go back and forth. My son only wanted to go side to side. Most baby swings only go back and forth, he hated those when he was a baby, as he got older, he was ok with back and forth, but not at first. THE GOOD: This was very easy to put together! Everything just snapped in place and then there are screws for safety in case the snap-system fails. Awesome. Simple. Great! I used this many times to be able to wash dishes, make dinner, or just to nap when I was spent! As a single mom in the military, it was a God-send! I lived in a small apartment, so space was an issue. Press a couple "buttons," and the legs moved together to fit perfectly in between a bookcase and the wall. Fisher Price is a brand I trust and once again they came through with five stars. — The rocking motion is very soothing along with the different music and sounds. My son loved sitting in this swing, watching the lights, and grabbing at the fish. We LOVE this swing! It is the greatest purchase we made for our third baby. I had a regular to and fro swing and my 1sy baby took most naps in it. The second little man hated the swing. I bought this because I liked to look of it and all of the features (7 speeds, 4 music settings, the mobile attached, and the option to mix and match all of these features) What I love most about it is the side to side swinging motion. My son (and I) love this swing. It has the most padding of any of the swings I looked at and is very comfortable. It can be used in the traditional swing setting, or as a cradle swing, which is a great feature. My son prefers the cradle setting, as he can lay back and look at the lights and fish on the mobile. There have been nights that if it were not for this swing, nobody would have gotten any sleep! It is very soothing to the baby. I have this ocean wonders aquarium cradle swing here at home and I have had it for the past almost 3 years. I used it for my youngest son when he was a baby. He loved it and I loved it as well. It is really cute and durable. I love this swing. It can become compact that way if I have to leave then i can take it wherever I need to take it without worrying if it will fit in my vehicle or not. I have mixed reviews so trying to be fair on this. Some people write bad reviews because the baby didn't love it or good because the baby did but we don't take in account that some babies don't like swinging motion, but bouncy motions, or prefer the exersaucer. My first born loved this swing, and in fact my friends son sleeps in his all day. My first born also loved her exersaucer and bouncey seat, but the new baby has different views. I actually traded in my Graco swing for this. My second daughter LOVED this swing. I was always conscious of the wobbliness of this swing when she moved around, especially as she grew bigger. Even after she was to big to put in it she still loved watching the lights and listening to the music. I reviewed tons of swings and decided on this one. My daughter never liked it. The baby I watch 3 days a week does spend a lot of time in it though. I loved the colors and the music options and that the fish spin around over head. The problems I have with it are as follows: first, it cost $100.00 and my daughter spent no more than 5 hours in it total.
