This toy was such a hit. My son got it for his first birthday, and he kept pressing the button and laughing and laughing at it. Now, he is nearly two and a half, and he still brings it out to play with quite often. Honestly, I don't understand why it still appeals to him, but it does.
The big button is very easy for the little kids to push, and that is nice. There are just enough sounds and songs to avoid driving parents absolutely insane, but it will begin to wear on you if you ... say ... take it on a long car ride from Virginia to Florida. My daughter had a hard time falling asleep when she was a smaller baby so we would turn the music on for her and she would be out. Only bad thing is the songs aren't very long and don't start playing again on their own so we would have to keep pushing the buttons to start the songs over. There are several different nursery rhymes, a mode with animal names and sounds, and a button in the middle that makes the "cd" spin. The buttons on the top light up when they are pressed and there is a ring on the side with little toys...
