Mommy, "There's a school bus, I see it I see it! I want to ride the school bus!" is often heard in my household. The children LIKE it when I drive through a school district so that they can see the school buses lined up and they think stopping for the real school bus is an adventure.
Fisher Price's Little People collection of toys is always a hit in my household and the Little People School Bus is no different. My girls still enjoying playing with the Little People School Bus even after all this time, they received it as toddlers and now as preschoolers they still play with it. Playtime with this school bus gets more creative and involved the older they get.
When the first received the Little People School Bus playtime was limited to some pushing it around the house and taking the people in and out. They enjoy pushing the buttons that cause the stop signal to work, the lights to flash and the sounds to make noise. They also enjoy the big people that easily fit in their hands as well as actually SIT in the seats on the bus when pushed around the house or the park instead of falling out.
The side and front doors of the Little People School Bus are sort of a pain, but they children eventually learn how to use them without pulling off the side doors. The batteries last for such a long time, I can't remember the last time I changed them. My daughters now pretend to ride to school, play with the Little People School Bus in the park and push it back and forth across the sidewalk or floor to each other taking turns.
Little People School Bus is among those that are almost perfect toys. Ok, the door thing is a problem with falling off but my children learn about real life bus riding, get to use their imagination for creative play and learn to share as they push it back and forth to each other.
