Fisher-Price Little People A to Z Learning Zoo Review Summary

Babies and toddlers can visit the zoo, right at home, with the Little People Alphabet Zoo. This battery operated toy feature well made, long lasting zoo animals shapes that help teach letter and animal recognition as well as encourage vocabulary. Shadaram says her daughter has a short attention span but, “this kept her entertained for hours, and when she was done, she came back to it several times.” Houdini16409 says that her daughters both infant and preschooler “love this toy.” It is easy to assemble and use, but there are lots of parts to pick up and store. Kryssi78 says, “as far as i'm concerned this toy was a fabulous purchase!” Not all babies were entertained by the sights and sounds of the alphabet zoo, but even those liked playing with it from time to time. I am a fan of Fisher-Price, even with all the lead paint scares, etc, and my daughter, who is 1 month shy of 1 1/2 years old, has inherited several Little People toys and really enjoys them, so when I saw this Little People A to Z learning zoo on clearance at Target, I HAD to buy it. Now, we haven't... review »

This was recently given to us a gift. My kids LOVE "Little People," but something about this one made it much less fun than expected. They were excited at first (of course). But soon, they discovered that the three major parts can be pulled apart. From thereon, I could never get them to keep the pieces... review »

I am always looking for a cute toy now and then for my girls.  One thing that is important to me is that the toys I buy are educational.  If I can find some educational value in a toy, then I will buy it.  This Little People Zoo topped my list around the holidays last year and I had to buy it.

Quality

I love the quality of Little People toys.  They fit perfectly in my little daughter's hand, and she just loves to pick them up and carry them around.  Each of the animals have a letter of the alphabet on them, from A-Z.  They are very well designed.

Excitement

     Both of...

My 1 year old received the Little People ABC zoo as a gift.  At first, all I could think about was "great, this has so many pieces, we will never keep track of them!"

But keeping with Fisher Price quality, they were smart enough to include a durable carrying case for all 26 animals included in the set.

First of all, the zoo is very compact.  It has a mat that "talks" and makes animal sounds for each animal and also talks about each letter of the alphabet.  The set also comes with an animal for every letter of the alphabet.  I like that Fisher Price made unique animals instead of using...

My daughter absolutely loves her learning zoo!   I got this for her 2nd birthday and she hasn't stopped playing with it since.  She spends longer with this toy than any others that she has and it's so fun to watch her use her imagination.  The animals are cute and easy for her to grasp and the buttons on the mat are easy enough for her to push.  She loves finding the animals after she pushes a button and repeats both the letter, animal name and sound.  She can correctly identify all of the animals by name and that was only after a month or so!  It's so much fun to watch her laugh and play. ...

OK... this toy is expensive, but worth it. We were lucky to have it given to us, because it has been the most fun toy in our house. Our son loves this toy, he's actually playing with it now. It is... slightly education, animal names, sounds, and letters, but more than that he learn about moving parts (he is one year old) shapes fitting into holes, onto pegs and lifting flaps. The construction of the toy is a fabric mat that makes sounds, like water, talks about animals etc and is attatched to the base of the toy tree. The tree has a swing, a little lifting flap and holes for the animals to hid....

I got this for my son, to help him learn his ABC as well as animals.  It has held up great and we are now playing with it with his little sister.  I love that the animals are very toddler as well as baby friendly.  I don't like toys that make a lot of noise, and even though this one talks, it it's too loud or annoying.  Great for a kiddo who loves animals!

I love this toy!  It has so many fun options.  My daughter has played with it for hours and learned animals, animal sounds, letters, and many more things.  It is sturdy and attractive.  Not at all annoying with the music and sounds.  I would buy this again.  My only complaint is ease of cleaning.  The mat seems to stain very easily.

My son got this for his first birthday and is now two. He has always loved the animals and is carrying them around constantly. He has just recently became interested in the mat part. He really is tough on this and it still as held up in perfect condition. I think it is really well made and a great toy for learning about animals.
