I was looking for a cost efficient baby monitor and was very impressed with this one.  Not only was it very cheap, it served a dual purpose.  It provided light for the room in the built in night light and came with two monitors.  It can be used with either batteries or cord allowing for ease in transport.

We got the Fisher Price Lights and Sounds Baby Monitor with Dual Receivers when our son was born fifteen months ago.   It works great and has lasted a long time.  We love the two receivers, so that we can keep one in our bed room and move the second one around the house with us as needed.  The night light on the base is also a nice feature.  I also love that the receivers can be both corded or battery powered, this makes it easy to take with you if you want to step outside while baby is napping.  I really like the lights on the receivers that light up in accordance with how loud your baby...

This Fisherprice product is a genius in itself. The Fisherprice lights and sound Baby Monitor with dual redievers is perfect for "The Gardening Mom." This is the worst baby monitor I have ever encountered.  The only good thing about it was the night light and even that was touch and go.  I had nothing but static coming through the monitor no matter where I went.  When it was dropped, the static got even more terrible.  Very easily broken.  After my kids knocked it to the ground a couple times behind my back off the television in my bedroom, it broke.

The Fisher Price Sounds and Light monitor is a good basic set.  It lasted almost regular use for 4-6 years.  The monitor and the receiver both have rechargeable batteries and cords.  This allows freedom of movement but also saves from having to buy new batteries all the time.  We would plug ours in every night and it would last all day long without the cord.  The monitor is slim and easily fits underneath the crib out of babies reach easily.  The receiver has lights on it so you can see as well as hear how much the baby is crying vs. talking.  This is great if you are trying to get some...

When I went to the store to create my baby registry, I had no idea what to put on it. I knew the basics; diapers, crib, breast pump, toys, bottles, and pacifiers, but that was about it. I bought this about a year ago and had heard great things about it. It was great for the first few months. Then after about 4 months the monitor started picking up static. I couldnt go out my front door or i would loose the signal all together. Then the cord started acting up. It gets bumped and shuts the monitor off if I dont have batteries in the handheld itself. And to add to all this i now pick up my neighbors children instead of my own. I can hear into there household as if i were there but cant here my child and i am only a few yards away. I bought this monitor because I have the older model of this monitor and have had no problems.  This monitor is nothing like the previously purchased model.  This one picks up tons of feedback and has terrible static.  There are certain parts of my home where I lose the signal.  I would not purchase this monitor again.

This monitor is overall a great monitor for the cost. It does have some white noise in it, but other than that its great. The light provides a night light which was great for those early AM feedings and now my 7 month old loves it because he really doesnt like the dark. All in all a great buy!

This monitor picks up every sound but it also has issues of static and buzzing. This can be soo annoying in the middle of the night when you are trying to sleep. The lights are great if you are doing something and can't hear the monitor but you can see if she is crying.
