Our almost 1 year old got the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Kitchen from Santa.  SO far we are thrilled with it because our 11 month is thrilled with it.  The whole family (she has 2 older brothers 10 and 12 years old) has a riot watching her and playing with her.  Why? Not only does she enjoy opening and closing the refrigerator and oven doors, but she gets so excited pulling to a stand at the stove, and pushing the toaster button down, and down again, and down again- dancing and bouncing at the knees all the while!!  If she could sing, she would without a doubt sing along to the many different songs that this great kitchen plays.  SInce she can't, we all do and she loves making her kitchen playtime a family affair. The faucet is loads of fun, and she gets a kick out of sticking the balls that come with the kitchen down the drain (as well as the dog's toys...)

On another note- she also occupies herself quite well even when we aren't right there with her. It is great to watch her from the kitchen while doing the dishes. She is finding out different things that she can do with her kitchen as the days go by (i.e. learning that the on off switch does indeed turn on and off a light, that when she crawls through, she will find other fun things to do on the other side of the kitchen in 'the study'!

For the price Santa's elves must've paid, I am guessing about $45 this toy is a great buy. It is good for crawlers, sitters, cruisers and even walkers once they can.  The only slight concern I have had is that baby likes to stand and push/shale the kitchen.  It's construction won't allow it to tip, luckily, but I do question how well the unit will stay pieced together over the course of a year... Time will tell- but so far, AWESOME!!!
