My husband chose this piano for our toddler. The age recommendation is actually 4 and up, but our 2.5 year old still loved playing it. We never let her play with it unsupervised and we always stored it under our bed. One day I tried to connect it and it stopped working. I did call Fisher Price and am currently waiting for a return label so they can replace it fro free (will update this when that happens).
I don't know if its not working is an overall product issue, so I cannot judge beyond my own experience. I do like it and feel it is very educational and easy to learn. My daughter, at her age was already beginning to "get" the learning game.
I am satisfied with Fisher Price's customer service and am happy they gave me no hassle about replacing the product.
