Fisher Price GeoTrax Review Summary

Fisher-Price Geo Trax are an imaginative and creative alternative to old fashioned train tracks and sets. They have a great deal of variety in the sets you can add on, as well as the set ups of the train tracks and systems. Parent reviewer Wendorob says, “We haven't had this much fun with a toy in a long time! There are endless ways to set up your tracks so every time you get it out, the play is all new. “ Reviewer Goodgirl91579 says, “The peices just snap together and each set is fairly affordable.” Motherof five knows that both her boys and girls enjoy the imaginative play that the GeoTrax provide, “They range in age from 12 years to 10 months. All of them enjoy playing with the GeoTrax.” While you can’t turn off the sound of the trains, you also can’t turn off the sound of your children playing happily with this train set, engines and charming building accessories. My 3 yr. old son loves his Fisher Price Cars Geotrax!  He loves the movie Cars, and also loves any toy that he can make go around a track, and so this was an obvious choice for a gift for him.  The track is a Radiator Springs theme that has a bridge that goes up and down and a waterfall backdrop.  Lightning McQueen is remote controlled and says things like, "ka-chow" just like in the movie.  The best thing about this set is that it is so easy to use the remote control, even for a three year old.  The Lightning McQueen can go forward, backward, and stop by pushing forward and pulling back...

We haven't had this much fun with a toy in a long time!  There are endless ways to set up your tracks so every time you get it out, the play is all new.  The kids can enjoy using the remote control, battery operated trains, or just push the trains around where they want them to go.  There are lots of cool extras that come with the basic Geo Trax train set including places to stop and load logs, boulders and more.  We really enjoy the Mile High set because we get to build a really large hill.  It's so much fun to watch the train come hurtling down the hill.  The kids also really have to use...

I am the mother of five children.  They range in age from 12 years to 10 months.  All of them enjoy playing with the GeoTrax.  We have a combination of boys and girls.  Every one of them has a great time with the trains.  Our two year old has tested its durability...and it was built strong.  Our four year old is autistic and he gets great pleasure out of building the tracks.  Even if you only by one kit your kids will have a great time with.

my 4 year old is a huge fan of geotrax. the remote trains run on batteries and no electricity is required. He loves his trains, each has a different personality. Example---the toughest team. The downsides are, expensive pieces. Extra tracks can run up to 25.00. The trains do not run very fast and it will take up a lot of room depending on how much you expand. Looks like Walmart is discontinuing the Geotrax, leaving Toysrus and Target.

We love the geo trax systems at our house.  The toddlers will play with the set for hours.  They are 2 and 4.  They can set up the tracks themselves.  The remotes for the trains are easy to use.  Mom & Dad enjoy helping to set up the tracks as well. There is a great variety of add-ons to expand the basic systems.

We first purchased a Geo Trax set when they first came out a few years ago.  Since then, we have amassed more than 5 storage bins full of these toys.  We've never had anything from the set break, they are easy enough for a 2 year old to use, but fun for even mom and dad.:)  My 6, 5, and 4 year old play with them for hours!

My son had an older set of Geo trax, and loved them but we put them away for a while.  They redesigned them and the old tracks still work with the new trains and he loves them both.  He already has most of the new ones thanks to Santa!  They are so durable too, I have 2 boys under 4 and they hold up well!

My son is hard on toys.  The tracks and trains get dropped down our stairs and stepped on all the time by him.  He can play for what seems like hours by himself our with his older sister.   Even when the batteries die he still pushes the train around the tracks by hand.

Geotrax is a great toy train series for kids (and even adults). My parents purchased a starter GeoTrax set for my son a couple of years ago and we have continually added on to it. Compared to theThomas train set series, GeoTrax is much more affordable and I think more interesting. Some of the set pieces are very innovative. For example, the Windmill which turns when a train runs over a piece of track is neat and interesting to watch. Each major piece and train has a different theme and makes the track interesting. Additionally, most of the trains are battery operated and come with remote controls...

The Geotrax trains are a nice variety when it comes to the train toy industry.  They are a little more chunky and they can withstand a few drops and bangs.  Each train varies in color, driver, and what types of things they do.  Some of the Geotrax trains are sets, they come with tracks and a variety of trains, freight cars, etc.  I do wish that they were labeled on the bottom like the Thomas toys, with thier names, because my son asks and I have no clue.  Some of the trains have noises and lights.  These are sensitive to water and sand and such, so if your child takes all of their favorite...

These things are great it is really easy to add to the sets, I have bought additional buildings and trains, hills and other track from Wal Mart, Target, Toys R Us, and even K Mart. We have been collecting them for the last 3 years and the kids just love them the only problem is keeping up with batteries. I am going to invest in some rechargeables this year but other then that they are great. The peices just snap together and each set is fairly affordable, giving you the option to just keep collecting. We have enough to cover our entire floor of the play room and the kids just have a blast finding... review »

I really enjoy this toy. It has a lot of add ons to build an entire city complete with fire station and police station. They range from cars around $5 to the big city for which I paid $30. I intend on purchasing something to make this city grow for my grandsons birthday, Christmas, Easter and a "just because" gift.

There is enough for other family members to join in the fun and purchase add ons or buildings also. They do take batteries but the police car, for example, makes 3 realistic cop car sounds and my husband, grandaughter and I just craked up in laughter at it. Even if you don't purchase...

i love this toy! its the best! we have loads of fun setting it up it always gets everyone involved, we have even had friends over and they get into it. there are many cons though, sorry. the cons are, takes 6 aaa batteries per set of trains, is a huge amount to buy, takes up a lot of space. i bargain hunt so i find at places like goodwill, yard sales, etc also a great time to get is after Christmas everywhere has to many and sets that went for 50-60 get down to 20 or better. got many that way. the durability is great also on them, i have 3 boys who love to throw, hammer and so on and they have...

My mom bought a set for my brother when he was younger, and gave us all the parts she had left. So when my daughter was old enough to play with them she fell in love with them too. My son who just turned 2 got a set for his birthday and whats really nice about them is that all the tracks go together so you could have one giant track as big as your house if you really wanted too. They are sooo much fun to play with and watch them play with :) Def. worth the money!!!
