Fisher Price GeoTrax Review

My 3 yr. old son loves his Fisher Price Cars Geotrax!  He loves the movie Cars, and also loves any toy that he can make go around a track, and so this was an obvious choice for a gift for him.  The track is a Radiator Springs theme that has a bridge that goes up and down and a waterfall backdrop.  Lightning McQueen is remote controlled and says things like, "ka-chow" just like in the movie.  The best thing about this set is that it is so easy to use the remote control, even for a three year old.  The Lightning McQueen can go forward, backward, and stop by pushing forward and pulling back and centering the remote control handle.  The one drawback to this is that the remote has to be manually pulled back to center from the forward or back position in order to stop the car-- so that if you child gets distracted, as mine does, with something else, the car will continue to go around the track when he walks away if the remote control is still pushed forward.  Talk about battery drain!  The good thing is, that if the car is stopped, and not played with for a period of time, it will automatically turn off to conserve battery life.  The set also comes with a train, and the Sheriff, who also talks when pushed down.  Lightning McQueen is also a little bit loud when travelling around the track.  Overall though, this is such a fun set to play with and has provided us with a lot of fun playtime together, as well as giving my son a toy he can play with on his own.  We look forward to purchasing other pieces to this set.
