I jumped the gun on the Fisher Price GeoTrax Train Set and bought it for my son when he was just over one years old.  He loved trains at the time so I figured that his age didn't matter even though the age recommendation on the box was older.  My mistake.  Or should I say Santa's mistake since this was a Christmas gift?

While my son was excited about his new "choo choo," he decided that he would rather take the track apart and play with the pieces individually.  This was after my husband spent an hour putting the entire GeoTrax playset together and I spent an hour opening the box...

Knowing how much our little girl loves trains, my husband thought it would be fun to get this for her.  We bought it for her last year, before she was even 3 years old.  It was easy for us to assemble and even easier for her to use.

This Geo-Trax train set is a wonderful toy.  It gets a child involved in imaginitive play and gets the parents involved in getting down and playing with the kids.  I know my husband and I take turns playing with our daughter.  My husband loves to try and find different ways to assemble the tracks with my daughter.  When he got her this toy he also bought her a...

Geotrax are great for everyone.  My 4 year old son loves to drive the trains, my 6 year old daughter loves to build the tracks.  Even we parents get involved with the building and driving.  There are remote control trains, or you can hand push them.  The remote cars usually come with at least three cars.  There are many parts and pieces available for this system, so it's easy to go big or small.  We usually get a new piece to the tracks a couple of times a year.  My one big complaint is that it is often hard to find a box of just straight tracks, or curves.  Each set comes with a couple... review »

My children really love the Fisher-Price Geo-Trax Train System.  We bought the train system last year when it was close to Christmas time.  We actually had a coupon and the store had it on sale for about 50% off.  Wow!  I was impressed with the price alone.

So when we got home we opened the package and we got the train pieces out and tried to design the layout of the train according to the box.  We added batteries to the train and the controller and we were ready for train adventures.

My daughter loves adding her own 'people' from other sets so that the train station has many more people hussling...

I bought this train set for my 5 year old for a first real train set.  It has been 3 years and many additional pieces later and he still plays with it.  There hasn't been many toys over 3 years that I can say the same thing about.  It is made with great construction and durability.  He has stepped on the tracks and it never budged.  I was really impressed with it.  It is a bit difficult to snap the tracks into place.  He did require some assistance with that when he first got it.  He now has all of the airport pieces to go with it as well.  It turns our living room into a huge city with...

We were hesitant to invest in another train toy since we have hundreds sunk into the wooden BRIO and Thomas sets,, but our 3 year old son insisted that Santa was going to bring him GeoTrax for Christmas!  So we bit the bullet and Santa got them,, and WOW!  We are super happy with them!  He can't get the trax together on his own, but other than building the trax for him, he's totally able to do everything on his own!  We LOVE that each train comes with it's own remote, so we got 3 all together so each of our older boys, ages 7 and 9, could play along,, with no fighting, and it works!  The trax...

Love, love, love these trains. I was hesitant when my husband first showed them to me, but it was nice to start out with a couple of smaller sets. We have added on bit by bit, and now have enough track to take over an entire room, at least 4 engines with controllers, and more.

We have even had about a dozen kids ages 1 to 12+ playing with the trains at one time. It was great! The really little ones like the things they can push on their own, the big ones help set up the tracks in complex arrangements, and even my 2 year old can run a train with a remote! Everyone gets involved, even the girls....

Geotrax is a great toy. My 2 year old son and his 2 year old cousin play with them for hours and hours. It is a little over their head with all the switches and stuff, so I am looking forward to years of fun out of this toy as they get older and understand more things they can do with it. At first they had a hard time putting the trains on the trax, so it took a little more of my time to help them, but they have got the hang of it now. I enjoy helping them build trax and think it will be fun to expand his collection over time. When they play a lot the batteries in the trains needed to get switched... review »

I love Fisher-Price Geo-Trax train systems.  My 4 and 3 year old boys have no problem assembling the tracks without assistance and the pieces are easy for them to use.  They can snap them together quickly and get right down to the business of driving their trains.

Once your collection contains several sets, storage can be a bit of a consideration since some sets have large pieces (Grand Central Station for example).

Also, I've found that the track pieces that let you split into two directions are all molded the same direction, so building complicated layouts takes a bit of planning.

Geotracks are one of the most played with toys that I have ever purchase for my children. My 5 year old has had them since he was 3, and plays with them everyday. He loves to see what differnt tracks and setups he can make. My 2 year old daughter also loves teh choo-choos. She is able to put regular track peices together with ease. Big brother has to help with the bigger and more difficult pieces. This is a toy that several children can play with at one time and learn about team work and sharing. This is another toy that will last for generations. Fisher-price has done well on these for sure!

We received the GeoTrax station as a Christmas gift, and it is this mom's favorite toy. It plays on many levels: as a puzzle (snap the train tracks together to form a continuous loop), as a remote control train, and as a dollhouse. The plastic tracks can be snapped together by a toddler, and so far we have had zero breakage after more than a year of play. I give away most of the toys we receive for Christmas (after a short period of use and after the kids get tired of them) because we have so many, but the GeoTrax are keepers.

My nephews got their first geo trax set 2 years ago for Christmas and every birthday, Christmas and just because chance we get, we add to it. Their first set of trains just barely died on them. They play with these ALL the time. They are hours and hours of entertainment for them. They were 4 and 2 when they got their first set and are begging for more this Christmas.

I plan on buying several sets for my own Son when he is old enough to play with them.

My 3 year old son is in love with Geo Trax. We started buying them around his second birthday and have a very large collection now. They are very durable and allow him to use his imagination in all kinds of ways. With the DVD, included in the large sets, and the website movies he can combine TV with play and re-enact the movie in out livingroom. Highly recommend this toy to anyone with kids!

This train is great.  We bought it for our 2-year old son for Christmas 2007.  He plays with this train everyday.  For Christmas 2008, he has asked for more pieces.  Once more, this train is great, durable, and kids love it.

Geo Trax is a wonderful toy from Fisher-Price. My son has been playing with these toys since he was about 2. They are very durable, easy for little hands to manipulate, and give hours and hours of imaginative fun.
