I jumped the gun on the Fisher Price GeoTrax Train Set and bought it for my son when he was just over one years old. He loved trains at the time so I figured that his age didn't matter even though the age recommendation on the box was older. My mistake. Or should I say Santa's mistake since this was a Christmas gift?
While my son was excited about his new "choo choo," he decided that he would rather take the track apart and play with the pieces individually. This was after my husband spent an hour putting the entire GeoTrax playset together and I spent an hour opening the box and removing the pieces.
Feeling optimistic, I put the train set together again the following day and once again, my son took it apart. It was then that I decided to pack the GeoTrax set away so that my son could play with more age-appropriate toys.
Flash forward three years and one move later when my son discovered the Fisher Price GeoTrax Train Set in our basement. Not only was he excited about playing with the GeoTrax set but he could use the remote control train and put the track together by himself!
My kids, ages three and five, regularly play with the Fisher Price GeoTrax Train Set now. We have purchased additional push vehicles that accompany the original set and have found that there are many more remote control vehicles and GeoTown Places that are also available.
There are various recommended ages online for the Fisher Price GeoTrax Train Set, which range from 24 months to six years old. I think that I can safely say that Santa will get it right this Christmas if he decides to place more GeoTrax toys under our tree.
