Fisher-Price Elmo's World Cell Phone received a 4.38 star rating from our reviewers. It is a small toy that is easy to take on the go, but big enough for little hands to play with it. It is durable enough to be passed down to younger kids year after year. As far as electronic toys go, the Fisher-Price Elmo's World Cell Phone isn't too loud."It teaches kids number, objects and the sounds of objects," Bryan-Carey said. Not everyone agreed that it is the perfect toy, however. Allisonjwhite complained that you could not hear the voice of Elmo at all and a majority of the reviewers were annoyed by the repetition of the Elmo's World Theme Song.

Cute, but not what we expected.

My child loves Sesame Street and Elmo and phones!  When we got it we thought it was perfect for him.  We played with it in the store and we loved it.  When we got home and opened it up, we were disappointed.  Once we removed the tab in place for demos, the volume went to extremely soft.  You can... read full review »

We bought this Elmo phone for our daughter, who is now almost 6. It has held up through her use, and for our 2 year old. They both love it! The flip-phone feature is especially fun. Elmo's eyes move when the phone is flipped open. The phone is just the right size for little (and bigger) hands to hold. It has many sounds which are fun to listen to, and not too loud at all.

I'd definitely recommend this phone, because it holds little ones' attention for a long time, is durable (virtually unbreakable!), and lasts for years.

i bought this phone for my now 5yr old son when he was a little under a year old he loved the phone and played with it alot when i had my now 3yr old son my 5yr old gave the toy to him and my 3yr old played with it alot! its now being handed down well is going to be by my 3yr old son to my daughter thats due May 3rd

this toy has seen alot! of batteries in its day lol...

We were given an Elmo's World Phone for our daughter when she turned 2. It was loud and obnoxious. It repeats again and again the annoying Elmo's World song. It doesn't even finish it before starting again if they keep pushing a button/flipping the phone it just starts again so you can hear the 'lala-la-la' indefinitely!

I think it is suppose to be educational, at least the packaging seems to suggest this and the repeating of numbers included might be. However, have an unintelligible little red guy receiting them to a preschooler is unlikely to help them learn too much.

The Elmo phone was not at all what I thought it would be.  The voice quality was very poor.  Elmo is usually hard to understand, but not this bad.  I do not mind noisy toys.  However, the problem with this toy is that you could not hear the voice.  I tried to change the batteries and nothing seemed to work.  My son was so excited to get it, but got very frustrated when he could not hear the voice clearly.  I am sad that this did not meet my low expectations.  I would certainly not recommend it to anyone else.  I was disappointed and would expect that they would be, too.

As a mom of four children I am always looking for great toys at a reasonable cost.  This toy satisfies both!  My daughter is a big Elmo fan and she also loves to play with the phone.  When I found this toy I was thrilled.  My daughter uses this phone and leaves the regular phone alone now.  It is awesome to see her pretend play with this toy, I believe this is a good use of money and that it is also a good learning toy.  The repeat of the main song does get a little bit annoying after a while but to see the joy on my childs face when she hears it, is worth it.

My 2 year old loves anything Elmo and is constantly walking around pushing the numbers and talking to Elmo in the phone.  She has had the phone since she was 6 months old.  We had to get anothe one for her younger sister because she didn't want to give hers up.  My 4 and 8 year old even play with the Elmo phone pretending the are talking to their friends.  It doesn't make loud noises which is a plus and can easily fit in the diaper bag to take with you to entertain you child when you need to.

the elmo cell phone is very cute for toddlers iys not to loud and very durablemy son is 6 now and he still has his.very strong so kids can throw it around,it wont brake easily.the noise level is very low and has a very calm and relaxing tune,perfect gift for a 2 or 3 year old.battery life is very long great on off swith.it has wonderful colors a very cute antenna it looks like the cell phones in the year 1980 or so.its huge a little to heavy but thats ok then kids cant throw at each other

I bought the Fisher Price Elmo Phone for my  first grand daughter at the mall, it seemed to work well but when we got home it seemed as tho the batteries wee dying so I replaced w/ new ones, but to our saddened suprise, the sound never returned as it was when we first bought it. This happened 2 times and so Im on my 3rd return and emailing Fisher Price. I was actually happy, but sad, to hear this has happened to others.

My daughter got this toy when she was nine months old from my Aunt. She loved and played with with it until she was almost three. When my second child turned eight months old he became a huge fan of this toy and hardly ever would put it down. My third son is now a year and a half old and enjoying this toy. It is extremely durable. If it lasts three kids and keeps them entertained I classify it as a good buy.

I BOUGHT THIS TOY FOR M TODDLER A YEAR AGO...  HE DIDN'T PAY TO MUCH ATTENTION TOIT... Exceptional Toy

My daughter recieved this toy when she was 6 months old. She played with it every day until she turned 2 1/2. My son then took it over. He was five months old and this had become his favorite toy. My youngest son now plays with it. This toy has stood up to three children and four years of play. So it is extremely durable and lots of fun for a baby or toddler.

My kids have both enjoyed this phone. Both girls and boys like it. The Elmo's World theme song plays when you flip it open. Elmo reads out the numbers after you punch them. It also rings while open. Elmo says thanks for calling when he is done. My kids love to walk around and play like they are talking on it. It is very durable.

I love when we open the phone, elmo's eyes open up and he starts singing. That teaches my kids that is on. When we close it elmo thanks for the call and his eyes close back up, teaching that the call is over. I like that each number button is named by elmo, again teaching my kids in this case the numbers.
