Dora the Explorer fans get to become Dora, with the Fisher Price Dora the Explorer Talking Backpack. This inexpensive and durable toy comes complete with a map, binoculars, magnifying glass and camera so children can relive their favorite parts of this popular television show. For one reviewer, “the biggest hit out of it was the video camera. She would run around the house saying "SAY TEESE!" While both boys and girls, toddlers and preschoolers enjoy the toy some parents were disappointed with it. It is difficult to take toys in and out of the backpack and the accessories are not “real” as in the magnifying glass does not magnify nor does the binoculars allow children to see further away. However fans of the toy say that it “helps the kids imagine their in a safari, or going on a quest with Dora and Boots, ” while other children enjoy dancing to the song, “Backpack Backpack.” Children can learn one or two commonly used Spanish words from the television show. We LOVE this so much!! My 2nd daughter got this for her 2nd birthday and when I first saw it I rolled my eyes because I was thinking "GREAT, another talking toy" but once she opened it and started to play with it, we all got hooked. She would press the mouth and wait for a command and then would play with that toy! I think the biggest hit out of it was the video camera. She would run around the house saying "SAY TEESE!" and then would close the view finder. VERY CUTE. Also every time it would start the "backpack" song she would dance.

My two kids (boy and girl) loved playing with this toy! When they were really little, they sometimes had a hard time getting the toys in and out of the backpack. But I think it helped them learn how to turn the pieces just right to get them in and out. They loved taking the toys in and out and putting them back in again (I think that was their favorite), but they actually played with the toys as well. They would go around the house "taking pictures" with the play camera, and looking at everything they could through the binoculars and magnifying glass. I don't think the little bracelet...

The Fisher-Price Dora the Explorer My Talking Backpack is great. My granddaughter loved it from the moment she opened the gift. She uses her imagination in ways that let you know a whole new whole has opened up for her to continue to explore. All children who see this want to play with it. The kids have been explorers, pirates, rescuers, gone on picnics all in our back yard. It is truly one of the best for the little ones to explore and expand their world.
Both of my daughters ages 2 and 3 love the Dora talking backpack. They fight over it and carry it everywhere they go. The like to put other things in the backpack as well. I really think it is a great size and the material it is made out of is easy to clean. I definatly recommend.
My child enjoyed playing with this set and taking it camping. It is good for the imagination but I found the backpack was a little hard to open and shut and needed some TLC. You can put other stuff in the backpack besides the accessories that it came with.
