We bought this swing because it was on sale. We wouldn't have paid full price for it but definitely feel like we got a good deal on sale. The cradle swivels so that it swings both side to side and front to back. This is good for variety in case the baby gets tired of one particular direction. Our child also loves the mobile that goes around. Finds the spinning bees very fascinating and the music soothing. He also likes looking at himself in the reflective underside. He falls asleep almost every time when we put him in this. Comes with a good head support to fit infants of any size. The only thing negative is the fact that it seems slightly unstable. Not that we are afraid it is going to fall over but that the whole thing tends to sway back and forth with the swinging motion. So not recommended to try to squeeze it into particular corners of the room. You just need to make sure you have plenty of clearance on all sides of the swings. Hope that doesn't hurt it's longevity as we plan on having several more kids and want this to last. Also the other negative is that we had to replace the batteries after only 8 weeks of use. I have friends who are on their sixth child and have yet to need to replace the batteries on their swings, but those ones don't have all the fancy bells and whistles that this one has.
