Fisher Price's Nature's Touch Papasan Cradle Swing was a lifesaver for me. My daughter was a colicky, fussy baby and it was very difficult to get her to calm down and relax. But five minutes in this swing and she would be content and soon lulled into sleep. She loved looking up at the mirror and at the little characters from the time I brought her home from the hospital -- and she was soothed by the music and nature sounds. When she was very little I'd drape a receiving blanket to slow down the speed a bit and it worked like a charm. The seat is very soft and cozy and cradled her beautifully. I used it until she was about five or six months old -- she didn't really like it once she could sit up because the "upright" position doesn't seem to be straight enough. I used it every single day when she was younger however -- and it is worth its weight in gold as far as I'm concerned! Very cute as well and the colors are soft and muted -- fine for a boy or a girl. Only complaint would be that the timer automatically turns off after a certain period of time -- and it would always seem to happen at the most inconvenient moments like when I was in the shower. She'd quickly wake up and that would be the end of that. Oh and also -- the batteries die very quickly.
