The Fisher-Price Aquarium Baby Monitor was a baby shower gift for my first child.  This was one of the best presents and one of the ones that has been most used.  It has continually been used for over 5 years-several years for our first child and now being used for our second child. We has had no problems with the reception.  Although we do not live in a huge house, this monitor has had perfect coverage throughout. I have taken it outside as well with no concerns of coverage.  The aquarium that plays on the ceiling is soothing at times but never worked to get our children to fall asleep while watching it.  Having the aquarum turn on is optional.  The music and white noise (waves crashing) are also another pleaseant option to have.  I am able to hear the first sound or cries quickly and clearly.  This has helped me distinguish how urgent the need is for me to get the child's room.  This is a monitor that I have recommended to family and friends.
