Both of my children, (now 5 and almost 3) couldn't get enough of the Peek-A-Blocks from about 7-months - around 2-years. Pair them with any of the accompanying Peek-A-Blocks toys like the Shape Sorter, Wagon or Giraffe. Also great to play without anything else, as they're fun for baby to explore, touch, shake and stack. We had the IncrediBlock (still available, at least through Fisher Price's website -- link: http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=900000&e=storeproduct&pid=30441), which is a great, multi-functional toy with lights and music and lots of other activities to engage baby for long periods of time. I loved this toy so much I remember writing a review for it on the Toys "R" Us website a few years ago. The Incredi-Block comes with 8 special blocks that, when centered on the top of the toy "bring the blocks to life" with sounds, music and a description of what is in the block. The only drawback is that I could never find more "special blocks." Not a big deal though; my kids never knew the difference and were happy with what they had. Best of all, it's extremely durable, as it survived both of my daughters, who loved to climb and sit on it. They especially enjoyed trying to stop the turntable that you put the special blocks on. No matter how many times they did that, it continued to turn without fail. It's in our attic now, but will be used again for the third one! Peek-A-Blocks and the IncrediBlock are a GREAT value for the money.
