Love my Fisher & Paykel washer!

By

from Allegan, MI

Comments about Fisher & Paykel Top Load Washer:

We upgraded to our Fisher & Paykel washer when our old Whirlpool started leaking all over the floor. My mother in law has a Fisher & Paykel and recommended it to us. My husband talked to the sales guy about the different models they had available and we love that there is the low profile agitator in this machine. It is easier on our clothes and the Ecosmart is great for saving water! I have had it for a couple months now and we're still on our first bottle of detergent. We have 3 kids (ages 5 and under) so its not like I'm not doing laundry. I've just used so little soap! I love it! I gave it four out of five stars because I'm still not quite sold on the water useage; I think sometimes more water is better for getting clothes cleaner, but this machine has the option of turning the water saving feature off, so it can use more if needed. My clothes come out of the washer dryer than ever, and my dryer runs less because of this. My last (top load, regular) washer was on its last days, but I took loads out that were dripping wet still! Not so with the Fisher Paykel! Ours was last years model on sale to make room for the new model in the store, so we got a heck of a deal on it too!

Love my Fisher & Paykel washer!

Comments about Fisher & Paykel Top Load Washer:

When my fiancee and I moved into our house in October, we were pleased to see that the previous owners had purchased Fisher and Paykel washer and dryers. We were even more pleased when we learned that they would not be taking them with them when we moved! I've been nothing but pleased with the washer, and haven't had any trouble with the machine at all. I find it to be very water efficient, using only the appropriate amount for the load you are doing, and it runs relatively quiet. The spin cycle is certainly powerful and I love that the clothes aren't dripping wet when I remove them (which was an issue with my previous washer). Definitely helps save on drying time. The washer's high energy efficiency is certainly a bonus as well. Had we not received the machine with the house, this would have been one of the top brands on our list to purchase. I have confidence that we will own this washer, along with the matching dryer, for years to come.

Ecosmart washer just as good as front-loader at better price!

By

from Winterville, NC

Comments about Fisher & Paykel Top Load Washer:

We purchased the Fisher and Paykel ecosmart washer and dryer about 5 years ago.  We were told at the time by a locally-owned, respected appliance dealer/repair center that it has the best repair records at their store compared to all other models shown.  We had planned to purchase a front loader for energy efficiency.  However, once we got there and began to research the water and energy used, this machine was comparable and wasn't nearly as expensive as the front loaders.  Not only did we save on the front loader washer, but on the dryer as well (b/c we would have wanted matching front loaders).  Once we got it home, I have enjoyed it more than I ever expected.  My mom has washed clothes at my house and when her washer broke, THIS is what they bought, too!  The best features are its ability to delay wash start, which is nice if you load clothing at night and want to put it in the dryer in the morning--you can delay start for 9 hrs, and then the load is freshly washed when you get up in the morning.  The other HUGE HUGE HUGE benefit is that it has a super duper spin cycle that wrings clothes nearly dry.  This really cuts down on dryer time, which is nice for convenience AND saves the dryer from running longer.  The repair company also told us that it's the easiest washer to take apart and repair, which was nice to know.  We've had NO repairs on it, but it did get musty smelling last year, so I was able to take it apart myself and clean the barrel with JUST A SCREWDRIVER!  It was awesome!  The salesperson told us that it was simple to take apart, which cuts back on repairs, but I was amazed. Overall, AWESOME machine.  We'll probably buy another one just like it when this one dies. . . which doesn't look like anytime soon!
