Set in 1900 London, this a wonderful story (not totally true!) about James Barrie (Johnny Depp) a struggling playwright and (struggling even more) husband.

Barrie is troubled by his lack of professional and personal successes and heads to the park one day for inspiration. There, he finds four boys and their widowed mother (Kate Winslet). He then spends the rest of his days playing with the boys, avoiding adult responsibilities and tapping into his inner child. The community is in an uproar about his antics-- especially his wife.

It is his relationship with the four children as well as his friendship and love for Kate Winslet that ultimately inspire his best story ever- Peter Pan.

It is an exceptional movie that tackles topics of love, marriage, adulthood/responsibility, child laughter, and raw passion.

One of my favorites ALL TIME. As a note, I would say this is definitely intended to be more for adults than for kids.

I haven't seen this one yet but I love Johnny Depp. I'll watch anything he's in. Chick flick, action, suspense, and one day if he does a martial arts movie, I will probably watch that too.

I've heard a lot about this movie but haven't seen it yet. After reading your review of it, I'm more anxious than ever to see it for myself!
