Finding Nemo Review Summary

Discover the kid in you all over again watching Finding Nemo. Reviewers love the Disney/Pixar story of a father clownfish that loses his son and sets out to find him. Some parents saw an important message in this for kids, that they should always listen to their parents. Not that Finding Nemo is only for family viewing, though, as everyone seems to agree its great for all ages. Albert Brooks is great voicing the character of the father, but the star of the show seems to be Ellen DeGeneres, unforgettable as the voice of Dory. Many reviewers found the colorful animation of Finding Nemo exceptional. In fact many found it to be even better than Toy Story, another Disney/Pixar film with rave reviews. While the plot could scare some children, Finding Nemo is sure to be a classic for years to come.

Nembo (as my son calls him) is a huge hit with little ones and parents alike. I think this is a must have in any kids collection.

The story is about the complex relationship between a father and son clown fish. Marlin, the Dad, is having a hard time letting Nemo grow up. Nemo, on the other hand, is...

Somehow not as enjoyable as other Pixar/Disney movies. I really do not enjoy Ellen or her character. And the sea gulls!!! More annoying than Jar-Jar Binks!! Unfortunately the rest of the movie (including the wonderful animation work) doesn't make up for enough to endear this one to me.

The story goes that Pixar film animators wanted to challenge themselves to figure out a way to animate water in a new and spectacular way.   So  NEMO was born.   It's an incredibly inventive film with some dazzling colorful imagery.    They also came up with a very clever and funny screenplay.    NEMO has been caught and is on display in a dentist office.   How will his father get him back?   Why convince other fish to help him save his son.  HOW?  Ah... there in lies the movie.

Oh and we've got the voices of Albert Brooks  who had me in stitches several times during...

Great storyline, easy for everyone to follow.  This is a movie that I can watch, over and over and it never gets old.  There is always so much going on in this movie upfront and in the background.  Great colorful animation.  The artists for this movie did a great job with the whole underwater experience.  It brought a new world to a lot of people.  I love the character development of Marlin, and of course Dory is really hilarious.  I keep finding myself singing "Just keep swimming."  There is not a single bad part in this movie.  A truly great movie for the whole family.  What is not... review »

Finding Nemo is a great movie by Pixar that kids and parents will enjoy watching over and over again.  I fell in love with Nemo before I was a parent, but I have to tell you that the story actually gained something after the birth of my first son.  I know it's corny, but you understand the father fish's point of view more.  Hey... my husband won't watch it anymore because it makes him cry... seriously.

This is a great film to watch with your kids.  It's also a great film to have a discussion about.  There are so many different characters that are highly developed.  Many different plot happenings...

Finding Nemo is a wonderful story about parenting, overcoming fear and stigma and taking risks that you want to stand up for.  The characters are believable and realistic.  The over-protective father who lost everything but one "child".  The innocent child who has faith and trust in everything he has been taught, and the the kind friendships we can make along the way in life.  I was very moved and brought to tears of joy watching this cute little film.  I was also very impressed with the sheer will and strength one small child can have and how a small random act of kindness can change the... review »

The movie Finding Nemo  has to be my favorite Disney movie of all time.  I can sit and watch this movie for hours and hours with the kids who live down the street from me.  Isaac is my buddy when it comes to watching Finding Nemo.   The colors are great and the colors of the fish are just out of this world.

Intro
Before I even went to see Finding Nemo, I knew it was going to be great. After Monsters, Shrek, and movies of the like, I've noticed that animated movies have definitely improved since I was a kid!  I went to see Finding Nemo with high hopes, and it exceeded all my expectations. Since then, I got the DVD, and I have since watched it dozens of times.

Plot
The plot, in short, is an under water movie about Nemo who is the son of a solo fish father Marlan. Well what happens? Nemo gets kidnapped by a diver right near the start of the movie! Now extra cautious Marlan must explore the ocean to...

I first watched Finding Nemo years ago, before I even had a baby.  I loved it so much, I bought it for myself.  It is so funny with inuendos that are too sly for children to pick up on.

Ellen played the perfect part for the character, Dorey, and no one could have done a better job!  The other character in Finding Nemo all do an excellent job and portray realistic personalities and situations that happen in the real world.  I think this is a great movie for children and adults alike.  I bought it for myself years ago and I am now watching it with my toddler son on a daily basis. ...

Finding Nemo is a great movie. It's a beautiful great disney movie to watch with your kids. It has a good story of letting go and making the right decisions. The beginning is sad, but had a great ending of a father letting go.The graphics are wonderful and it's educational as well. I like the fact that you can turn it into an aquarium on your television set and can learn more about the real fish that inspired the movie. Ellen Degeneres is great as Dory the positive little blue fish that helped Marlin recover from his wife death and his son's disappearance. She helped him be a more positive fish... review »

Finding Nemo is easily one of the better kids movies that has been released in the last decade or so. While I do not have kids myself yet, I was a nanny for a friend of mine and her two kids LOVED watching this movie. They loved Nemo, and Dory, and the turtles and everything. I enjoyed watching it with them, it is a kid-friendly but adult-friendly movie that really has a great storyline and amazing graphics.

Check it out for sure.

I can watch this movie over and over again, and most recently I had the pleasure to watch this for the first time with my year and a half old niece. I have never seen her eyes so wide and she paid attention through the entire thing. The colors are amazing, and the story line is simple enough for a two year old to somewhat comprehend. I think it is a safe, fun, and adorable Disney movie...

When this movie first came out I rented it for my little brother, he ended up wanting to watch it so many times we had to buy it! I love the fun characters and the important message to listen to your parents or bad things will happen, but also the fact that you can't always protect your children. This is one you'll want to buy for your babies, I really enjoyed it myself.

One of my daughter's favorite all-time movies is Finding Nemo.  He is so adorable that you cannot resist him.  Finding Nemo is a movie about a clownfish who gets losts, and you get to see his journey from start to finish.  It is such a cute film by Disney Pixar and it is the type of movie that the whole family can enjoy!

My personal favorite character is Dory.  She is a lot of fun and she helps Nemo's father on his journey to find his son.  I think I like her because she has short term memory, and she seems kind of like a ditzy girl.  I think she is one of the main characters...

I bought this movie after the first time I saw it.

There are great lessons for kids in this movie, it's funny and will make you cry.  The story is great and the characters and colors are awe inspiring.  Some scenes are more adult-oriented, but it's still a great kids movie.

I can't say enough great things about this movie.  If you haven't seen it, you are missing one of the greatest movies of all time.
