Few movies entertain me with more than one viewing. Finding Nemo is one such movie. I enjoy watching it over again and again as well as sharing it with my two year old nephew. When we watch together he begins to express himself by reacting to the dialog and the emotional intensity of the characters. I have also observed this helps him to develop his communication skills and decreases his "terrible twos" tantrums. He is able to focus for extended periods of time but does not become "hypnotized" by the TV screen. He will turn to me in parts of the films and share his joy or anticipation of an event about to come up in the plot and we share our anticipation together.
I personally enjoy the colors, interactive hues, intensity, brilliance, detail, textures, and clarity of the animation of the characters and surrounding environment. In the tradition of categorizing animated movies as classics for future generations of children, the way Walt Disney Studios does, I consider Finding Nemo to be a classic worthy to have in my DVD collection to pass down to my grandchildren and great grandchildren.
