I hardly write checks anymore unless I am having to pay a bill via mail.

I usually use my debit card when shopping, I slide my card, and push my PIN #, and I am done. I prefer plastic than the paper. It is quicker. However, I do carry my checkbook with me because there have been times a store's debit/credit machine has been out of order.

I am like Cyndi A. if someone is in front of me in line and they are paying by check, that's OK with me! Some people are more comfortable with writing checks.
