You could try using a search engine to look for info for the type of grant you want. Hope this helps a little.

I understand - from the results of "grant hawkers" like Matthew Lesco that many so-called government grants for personal use, not business or education, are difficult to get and many times the grantors get many letters and sad stories about them needing money for whatever and it's just that they do not understand the guidelines for being issued a grant. people publish literature making it seem very simple to get these things and they are really for a narrow section of the population. Especially with the financial shape the country is in, I'll bet there are tons more people applying and less and less people getting them granted. I would be wary of buying literature that seems like it will make getting a grant easier. You can probably figure it out yourself with all the info on the net.

As far as I have been able to find out, these grants for the most part are a SCAM. Companies such as Government Grants, Matthew Lesko, etc sell you a book listing all these grants charging you anywhere from $29.95-59.95 WITH a 100% money back guarantee.

What they do not tell you is the book itself is devided into states. One type of grant is social secuirty, disability, food stamps, medicaid, energy assistance grants. I was so aggravated since I live in Illinois, basically there were no grants available except for the ones I listed and who needed to pay $29.95 for that.

I receive these emails nearly everyday in my inbox and it really frustrates me, not only because it is a scam, but how many people are so desparate they are buying this garbage.

i have come to a conclusion. there is no help for the poor. hard work has nothing to do with becoming successful, learning how to steal and lie is your best bet. finding out what the poor is most interested in and capatalizing on our weakness.  SODOMIZE THE POOR,AND LOVING STROKES FOR THE RICH!!!!!
