Figure Magazine Review Summary
Figure Magazine is a magazine designed for the plus size women with fashion tips that are used on full sized models with content that appears to “gravitate towards acceptance and happiness at any size/weight.” This magazine for the full figured woman also include coupons for shopping at stores like Fashion Bug, Catherines and Lane Bryant, allowing women to save, and get the magazine for free with these savings. Buggheart feels that there are mixed messages though, with articles on accepting yourself no matter what your size but then full page ads for Weight Watchers and other diet products. “I don't like that contradiction but the bottom line is that the content is not meaty or interesting enough to tempt me to buy it again or to subscribe. Roserighter says, “But the message behind the magazine isn't weight loss; it is about loving who you are at the size you are. It includes fashion tips, current trends and health advice.” No matter what, whether you like the articles or not, all reviewers agree, you may want to pick this magazine up for the coupon savings alone.
