I got this plan through work when they switched from TIAA-CREFF. This is a horrible plan that I would never voulantarily put money into. They charge you an account maintence fee that is outrageous. If at some point you cease to contribute to the plan they will continue to charge you the fee until the account balance is depleated, which happened to a spouse.Upon moving and updating my address I received the lettering confirming that my address had changed. All was good...until I moved again and find that I haven't been receiving statements for a year because somehow they have the wrong address on file. So, now they have the wrong address, yet they were able to mail me the confirmation letter verifying teh new address. Strange. I had issues with the customer service department directing me to the incorrect paperwork on numerours occassions. It took me calling them four times, contacting the better business bureau, and printing off and filling out every single form available online and mailing it to them before I could withdraw from my account. In the meantime the continued to charge me fees when they knew I was trying to withdraw but it was their lack of communication and customer service that was preventing me from doing so. When I was guided to the incorrect forms and sent them in I was not notified that they were incorrect. Instead I called them asking about my distribution only to find it hadn;t been approved due to improper paperwork. I was finally promised to have some correct forms faxed to me by an account escelation manager bacause at that point I was beyond furious with the service I had received. Two days later...still no fax. I called to speak with him personally and a second attempt at the fax still yielded no forms. This is the point at which I printed all forms and mailed to them. When I spoke with someone else about not getting the faxes I was promised my distribution check would be overnighted to me at their expense yet it was not. And imagine my surprise when three months after having initiated the process of the withdraw I finally get my check and they've taken out the fees for that entire period! What a disgrace.
