We have been with E-Trade, Charles Schwab, Muriel Sebert (sp) and all have taken us for a ride with fees for nothing.  We trade outselves, we have money market accounts which should be paying moe than any bank can.

I got a Mystery Shop to contact Fidelity Investments regarding a Money Market account that is now my current premium checking account and making 3% interest.  I was talked to very nicely, very knowledgeable people who do not put you down to questions.  They have all the time you need of them.  I gave them high marks, then learned my husband has his 203B funds from 20 years at work with them after the marketing of his money by the university to various funds.  He was very pleased with their work, calls when necessary but no selling stuff.

So we moved our stocks, money market, everything we had with E-Trade who had just bought the Boston firm we were with (CNGB) and we wanted nothing to do with them every again.  Fidelity transferred everythingg at no fees to us.  Our Money Market is os over 5.5% even with the -$360 as the Dow.   When we retire, they are ready to put us on an allowance so we can cruise, gamble, and live well.  But in 5 years or so then they can have the retirement account set up for us to live off of.  Great to have folks care about you at no fee.

So check them out, their web site www.fidelity.com is very well set up & ver easy to navigate thru.  We have paid -0- fees to them other than buying or selling stocks & that was $10 a session.  I have checks for emergencies at no fee, but it is not our checking account & we can transfer funds from them to our account to buy a new car with cash for a great deal. Again no fees for any of that.
