Pros

energetic, small, good in apartments, Better in groups, lovely to hold..soft &cuddly, fun

Cons

High maintenance, Can get expensive, careful if you have a pet that hunts!, need at least an hour of play each day, Can be naughty if not properly trained

I love my ferrets and the neighborhood kids do too, but often I just don't have the time to give them. If there was a 7-12 year old child in our household who wanted them in his or her room that would be ideal because they could run around and play while the child did whatever, and they would be fantastic companions because they are so incredibly sweet. Males tend to be more cuddly and females are more spry. Their claws can be really hard on younger children. Make sure it's a Marshall Ferret, and check around for second hand ones. They can be a lot less expensive and this is a pet a lot of people get before they realize what it entails.

Yes,I agree, my daughter alway's wanted one of these too-but they are very hard to get over here in California,they dont want to see them over here-so she wanted one for a long time,she would be a great lover to these animals she wants a pet of here own she hasnt decided what she wants yet but maybe someday she will get what she alway's wanted in here heart.
