I'm kinda new to ferrets. I've only had them for a couple years, but they are such cool pets that I have to recommend them to any family.

Just be sure that you ferret-proof your house. This includes finding every quarter-sized hole in your furniture and cabinets and BLOCKING IT!! I still have a bathroom that, when the door's open and the ferrets see it, they run for it and jump over the toe-kick and hide in the cabinet. It's a pain to get them out as they're terribly stubborn and enjoy making us frustrated.

But when they play, you forget about the crap they put you through and laugh all day long watching them bark and jump around the floor. They are so cute!!!
