Pros

    clear crisp sound, easier to re-string than stratocaster, light weight, value priced

the fender telecaster is a fine addiition for any guitarist who may already own a fender stratocaster. i know because i own both guitars. although the sound of the telecasteris somewhat different than the sound of a stratocaster, they are like fraternal twins in the fender family of guitars. i constantly rotate both of them when i am recording new material.
