You gotta figure Fender would only market good strings.

I've mostly used Fender strings on all my guitars and basses. I have many so I don't bother to change strings very often. I've always been happy with the price, sound and durability of Fender strings. Though I've always found it odd that so many of their sets have bass strings that are really too light....

Good for the price, not High quality

They are alright strings, they usually go for only a few bucks so if you're really trying to save money they are good.  The high E string breaks really easy.  You cant get just individual strings to just replace the High strings, which isnt a bid deal.  They sound good, just dont last long.

lead guitar sound at it's brightest
a person who enjoys quality, picky about guitars, music fan, sound conscious, trying to delay and prevent repairs, a guitarist for 38 years, always looking to improve my playing, cost-conscious

i am not a lead guitarist, but i cna sound like one with these strings. there are two drawbacks to using these strings. if you break a string you must buy acomplete set, and if you tune the strings too high and play hard they will break easily. using the fender sparkle guitar tuner ihave been able to overcome these obstacles easily.
