It's probably my favorite guitar I've played so far, and I have the privelege of owning it. The stock pickups aren't anything terribly great, but the bridge position humbucker has a great raw sound. Neck is great, plays like a dream. This guitar will do any style of music you choose. Shreds great, but has a good neck profile for blues too. Can't reccomend it enough.

Hmm...a SD pickup doesn't give a very twangy sound, but rather a beefier, more full bodied tone. Most humbuckers in general aren't the best for a twangy sound. I use Daddario strings, but I believe that GHS boomer are very bright, twangy strings. If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanx for your answer Garriq!I play guitar instrumental music mostly.Visit : www.pieculewicz.com ,that's my website. My favourite sound is Van Halen 1984 album(Panama song for egzample).I need that very "stringy",and twangy strat sound, but without a harsh. Is your superdistortion sounding like this? What do you think about a strings? What strings could give you most clarity, twang and volume?Dean Markley Blue steel?Other ones? Greetings from Cracow! Robert

What I did (it's the guitar in my picture) was route the pickguard to HSH and keep the middle pickup. I replaced bridge with Dimarzio Super Distortion and neck with Dimarzio PAF Pro. right now it's one of the best guitars I've ever played, period. It sounds amazing. It really depends on what kind of music you play, as I mostly play rock and metal (Randy Rhoads is my biggest influence.) What kind of music do you play? And go ahead and buy the guitar...it's like a dream.

If single pickups could be better-why not to upgrade your gitar with some better single pups?I am going to buy this guitar-that's why I ask. Hope you'd answer soon.Robert
