The fender squire P-bass delivers excellent tone at a cost you cant go wrong with. If your looking to take up the bass guitar buy one of these because it is the best and most comfortable versatile beginners instrument availible for the bassist. Squires guitars always have that comfortability and imitation of a strat or much better quality instrument but retain a low cost and still keeping yourself as versatile as can be.

I've played funk, jazz, and rock riffs and scales and even on small 100Watt amps I can really drive out some tones. However the bass does come at some disdains...

No matter what you try the action will always be too tight to start learning slapping on. The neck is always in one format and is usually non customizable on squires. The lower tone strings can have a buzz to them if not set up correctly after the manufacturer. Also the strings that come with the guitar suck....buy some new ones.

However you can get it in some pretty nice colors!!!
