I'm a recent breast cancer survivor, and I'm taking Femara for a minimum of 5 years, possibly 10 years. It's easy to take once a day.  I had a few achy-joint side effectsf for a few weeks, but now they are nearly gone.  As far as prescriptions go, this one was not overly expensive and covered by my insurance. When I emailed the company a question, they responded promptly.  Check femara dot com for coupons you can get to help with the cost. Talk with your doctor about what to do for the side effect of bone loss.  Calcium a couple of times a day can really help.
