A Happy Accident with Surprising Results
I never intended to purchase a scented vacuum bag, but now that I have I'm glad I did - every time I turn on my vacuum cleaner, the air is filled with a wonderful fragrance that makes cleaning up cat treat crumbs and dust even more enjoyable than before. I made the mistake in buying a **Febreze*-scented bag at the store once while rushing and trying to make it out before the noonday zombies stalked in through the doors and infiltrated the aisles. I had no idea what I had even purchased until I changed the bag and noticed a distinct yet sweet fragrance filling the air as I vacuumed. When I realized what I had done, I considered the incident a 'happy accident', and was really impressed with the results. While the fragrance doesn't linger, for the few hours that it is there, it really infuses a room with a clean freshness that's quite enjoyable. I've always loved the smell of a freshly-vacuumed room, but a scented bag amps it up to a whole new level - it's the equivalent of using an aerosol spray without all the hassle of making sure the scent comes into contact with an absorbent fabric, so on and so forth. The fragrance itself is not an overtly complex one - it's a traditional sort of sweet floral, something between crushed lilacs and dewy freesias with a hint of rainwashed breezes; I am not sure if there are other scents available, but if so, I would definitely try them. These are handy to have, as the scent lasts in the bag even if you do not vacuum everyday. I will definitely purchase more of these in the future, and I am happy my erratic hand slipped past the regular Bissell bags and snagged this one by mistake - or chance!
