Share this book with your child, or cat. The story is written in a lyrical manner and tells the story of Big Cat, who slides out the back door and tries to catch a variety of birds. He is unsuccessful.

The illustrations are bright and cheerful collages. The last several pages are devoted to simple information about all the birds featured in the book. After you've read the book several times you will be surprised to hear your child name different birds...."Isn't that a blue jay?"
