Fat Cat Boogie Mat Refillable Catnip Mat Review

Nip Facts: Catnip is an herb (in the mint family) that, after 1 whiff, puts about 85% of all cats into a euphoric state of frolicsome bliss. This most entertaining show can last about 1/2 hour then, as if nothing happened, your cat will stop & walk away. No one is exactly sure why, but scientists believe that some dang thing in your cat's brain simply shuts down after about 30 minutes & they can't smell the stuff anymore.

But wait...after a wink, a blink & a meow your cat will magically be drawn back & start the show all over again. YeeHaa! Party Animal!

The mat isn't too large, about the size of a large place mat. It comes in several crazy looking patterns with wild eyed cats on them. When I first got mine, I didn't realize I had to open the cat nip package and sprinkle it into the mat. I set the mat down and my cats were digging and scratching at one end of the mat. After reading the instructions, duh, I removed the closed plastic packet of cat nip from the end of the mat and sprinkled about two tablespoons of cat nip into the mat and zipped it up.

Wow! My cats went crazy! They were rolling on the mat, chewing on it, and jumping around like kittens and they were nine and seven at the time. I got a good amount of cat nip with the mat and could refresh it any time I thought it was needed. My cats love this thing! I was concerned that cat nip might be dangerous but I did a lot of research and it apparently isn't. Too bad people don't have people nip because my adults cats were boogieing like crazy.

The mat is very colorful and looks cute even without the cat nip in it. And super affordable at between $7.00 and $10.00. It lasts and lasts and your cats will love it!

My Viewpoint

This mat is amazing. My cats are older and rarely play. With this mat, they turn into kittens for a while. They get so goofy and so lovable. Then then pass out and sleep for a few hours. Many parents probably wish there was baby nip and I KNOW I wish there was a husband nip mat. Heh. Anyway, this is an affordable, safe mat that holds up well and that will make your cats boogie. 5 stars.
