deceiving - thought it was a comedy

I ordered this movie on line through Blockbuster.com.  It appeared to be a comedy movie about the fast food industry.  Instead it showed about illegal immigrants crossing the border and working in deplorable conditions in a slaughter house and meat packaging.  They indicated that the meat they were sending out was filled with feces due to productivity levels set on workers and inexperience.  The end they actually show the entire slaughter of a cow.  I guess they were trying to make a point but most disgusting thing I have ever watched.  I am disappointed that the stars participated in this project.  Do not rent or buy unless this is the type of thing you're in to.

Okay, so maybe you were misled by the cover image, but does that mean it is a horrible movie? It might not be what you were expecting, but it still has a serious message that affects all of us.

I,too, was robbed by this movie's DVD case description. The description on back of the DVD, as well as the comic looking graphic layout of the cover, makes it seem like a comedy about working in the fastfood industry. It has nearly nothing to do with fast food restaurants at all and is more of an attack on meat processing and the treatment of immigrant workers. It's REALLY dismal and depressing. Don't be tricked by the DVD case. It must have been written by someone who'd never even watched a couple of minutes of the movie. I was expecting something funny and a bit of a sarcastic skewering of fast food, sort of an Office Space style movie, and got a horrendously depressing movie. If you're looking for a heavy handed joyless sermon about meat-packing or immigration then you'll dig it, otherwise, avoid this movie like the plague.
