I have been with Farmers since I was 19. I'm 28 now. I did have a gap of 2 weeks that i was with Geico. I definetly dont recommend the lizard insurance. Farmers Insurance has been good to me until i recently got in a wreck because a driver ran a red light in front of me. I slammed on my breaks to miss him, slid halfway through the intersection and my car came to a stop. I looked up and a white thing was coming straight at me and hit me from behind.  I couldn't do anything about it. Everything is great from the customer service to they way they handled my claim. I really appreciate Farmers for "getting me back where I belonged." The first person I talked to was very helpful in getting my information and promised that someone would call me in 2-3 days, well later that day I received a phone call from my adjuster who was assigned to my claim. She was very nice and thorough. In the process of our conversation she explained to me about my homeowner's policy, how it works, and all about my coverage. I have had insurance with farmers for about 4 years now. What a great company. Very friendly customer service from the home office and my local office. I had a car wreck and totaled my brand new vehicle. I was in the hospital for 1 week and when I got home, a check for amount of my new vehicle plus a check to pay the sales tax on my new one, greeted me. I first used Farmers when I bought my house. — I had been with GEICO for 13 years and ran into a major problem when they capriciously switched me from one GEICO company to another (who knew there was more than one??).  I got a check due to "changes in my policy".  I happened to call in for some information and THEN they told me "I" had cancelled my policy.  I was shocked. — Apparently, due to this "switch" they suddenly wanted a form filled out that stated I would not allow my roommate to drive my car due to his record.  They claimed to have mailed me the form… read full review »

     When I first got married in 1994 we went with Farmers Insurance through Tremble Insurance in Port Huron Michigan.  My agents gave me a great deal on car insurance and they were friendly and easy to talk to.  They answered all my questions and were excellent in their work, quick answers and results.  When I was told they would call me back they did, the same day not 2 days later.  When we bought our first home Farmers,Tremble, was there for us with another good deal on house and car insurance.  A little over a year later we ended up moving out… read full review »

I have been subject to hit and run (they hit ME) by a stolen car, TWICE (separate times)--was slightly injured both times, had one of my cars vandalized, my son is under 25 (but a good student), a number of fluke things like this. I have never been the CAUSE of an accident while with Farmers. After being with Farmers for many years and several milestones such as reaching the age of 18, then 21, graduating high school and college, getting married, and having a baby our rates continued to increase instead of decrease. with only one traffic ticket in more than 5 years I couldn't understand why. only one ticket, no accidents, no claims of any sort and they kept wanting more of our money. We have had Farmers one year now and already had a rate increase.  Then we had an accident and cannot figure out who has the ball on our claim.  It would not be the local farmers agent in our city.  It is someone outside the area.  Also the original quote was increased when we received our first bill.  We gave them accurate information.  Should have stayed where I was where they acutally lowered my rates over the years.  I would not recommend Farmers.  It has been 5 days now since I was supposed to receive info on my claim (again).  They take your… read full review »

Farmers Insurance has been great for us. They give us great rates on our auto policy's even though we have kinda of poor credit,. When I research to find the lowest rates, all other company's would charge us over 1500 for 6 months, farmers was $950 for 6 months (full coverage and liablilty on 2 cars). They offered great discounts the more policy's you have with them as well. We have had farmers for 2 years now and our agent is still checking with us to see if we need to update change or add. I had been searching for car insurance for a while and wasn't really able to find any that were affordable and that I could trust. When I found Farmers Insurance, it was through my fiance who had been insured through them for quite a while. He was in a pretty bad accident last year and they really took care of him.   I am happy with farmers Point Insurance. I have had a policy with them for about a year. It is nice to be able to do stuff on line easly. I have not had to use them for a claim thank God. I like there rates as well. I would recommend this to a friend who is in the need of Car Insurance.
