I switched over to Farmers Insurance a couple of years ago after moving into Texas. They were recommended by a friend as a great company. When I first started dealing with them they were great as long as they were taking your money. Once they had me hooked as a customer the rates jumped month after month. When I called I would be told my agent was out and would call me back but he never would. I finally caught him in the office and asked about the continual jumps in my premiums and he said everyone in Texas was getting higher premiums. All this and I hadn't had a claim for years and years. I started checking prices and quickly found several companies that were quiet cheaper and people that I felt much better dealing with and companies that would appreciate my business. I have since moved to Kentucky and kept this same company. I stayed with Farmers for about two and half years and should have moved much quicker than I did. I would not recommend them at all.
