Farmers Insurance —
My husband and I had Farmers Insurance on our vehicles and our home. We originally signed up with them because their rates were lower than State Farms where we had our insurance for many years. Also, my dad had Farmers and he recommended them to us. The rates were reasonable, however the agent that we had was very vague when asked any questions and I became hesitant to even want to call him. My dad had the same agent and his insurance went up several hundred dollars when his renewal notice came. He was never even notified that the insurance was going up that much and he had no claims or anything with them. Well, I found Hartford through AARP and our insurance with better coverage is five hundred dollars a year less and my dad also switched his and is saving about nine hundred a year less than he was paying at Farmers. I would recommend anyone thinking of getting Farmers that they check around more and you will find better rates with more coverage.
