I have been with Farmers since I was 19. I'm 28 now. I did have a gap of 2 weeks that i was with Geico. I definetly dont recommend the lizard insurance. Farmers Insurance has been good to me until i recently got in a wreck because a driver ran a red light in front of me. I slammed on my breaks to miss him, slid halfway through the intersection and my car came to a stop. I looked up and a white thing was coming straight at me and hit me from behind. I couldn't do anything about it. And I had a little neck pain. Apparently the guy driving the white thing (a dodge minvan) was paying attention to the guy running the red light and not me. It was too late for him to stop while going at least 45. Turns out he also had Farmers Insurance. I had to wait a week while driving around my crumpled car. Just to find out what I already knew that my car needed to be fixed. So I took my car to the insurance adjuster to get the quote. ( I had already gotten a quote from the bodyshop I was going to take it to) The quote from the adjuster was almost $1,000.00 less than what the bodyshop was. The insurance company wanted to just fix all the problems. And I was going to be without my car for at least 8 days. I however didn't think thats right. Why should I not have my car exactly how i had it before the wreck? Why do I have to suffer? At least they did pay for a rental car but they gave me a little cheap 4 cylinder car that has no guts and is really slow! I didn't get to pick the car. they could have at least given me a car similar to mine! Anyone who has ever been in a carwreck knows that your car never comes out the same when its repaired. So make sure that you pay attention to all the details when get your car fixed.
