We were insured with Farm Bureau about 15 years.  We had our home and car policies with them.  The first few years were fine, but the last several had increased premiums every year, even though we had no traffic tickets or claims.

The final straw was when they forced our agent to quit after being with them almost 20 years.  (He didn't sell enough life insurance poilices to suit them.)

When he went to another company I had him check rates for us and he was able to substantially beat the premiums we had been paying.  Maybe Farm Bureau jacks the price up from the same companies?

Farm Bureau required us to pay quarterly or pay extra to set up a monthly payment, and we could only do that on one of the policies, not both.

I am glad we switched!

Yes! They were taken to court over requiring members to pay annual dues to qualify for insurance and won. It's only $35, but it's a pain!

What gets me about Farm Bureau is the yearly membership dues. Ack!
