Farm Bureau Insurance just raised my auto insurance premium based on a bad credit score. My driving record has been without a claim for more than ten years accident free. The premium went up from $180 / 6 mos to $298 / 6 mos. liability only. I remind you I have not had an accident in almost 15 years. Now I have no credit cards, no loans and I drive a 2009 truck which i paid for with cash. Am I now supposed to take out a loan just to turn around and pay it back in order to improve my credit score so I can get the same low rate as someone with a good credit score? I no longer need credit, I just bought a $120,000 house cash as well. I don't need any more loans or credit cards. Why are they discriminating agaist me?
