Stay away from Tennessee Farm Bureau - I rate them a zero!

lying agent, poor attention to detail, poor customer service, constantly raising premiums, only interested in profit, there are bad in all, Expensive, not interested in you as a person, required membership

We had Tennessee Farm Bureau for years and had no problems until we had a claim on our house. We suffered some hail damage and EVERY single house around us and behind us got new roofs and gutters because of the hail damage. TFB came out and said and I kid you not that it wasn't hail damage on our house it was FOOT TRAFFIC. I'm not making this up people! It's a steep roof and unless my neighbors are having block partys on my house without my knowledge nobody is hanging out on my roof. My agent was no help but I contested this matter all the way to the head of the claims department. Everyone was jerks and treated me like I was stupid for not buying the foot traffic story. They sent out an "independant" engineer from another firm to colaborate their story which strangely contradicted the Nation weather service, photos of the actual hail strom at our house while it was happening and for freaking petes sake I was at home watching it while it happened! I mean the B.S. they gave us was UNBELIVEABLE and included crap like while it hailed it didn't hit the side of your roof that has the most damage - that damage was "foot traffic damage". Our personal favorite when I asked them why all my neighbors got new roofs from their insurance for the hail storm they told me that it was possible that it hailed on my neighbors roofs but with the combination of wind factors and trees our property didn't get much hail! I blessed them out and changed companies and I am so glad I did. We are saving a whole lot of money with the new insurance. Another thing to watch out for with Farm Bureau is the longer you have them they will start raising your rates every year you are with them and before long you will be paying more than you should and for service and coverage you are not going to get! I'll NEVER do business with them again and I warn everyone to STAY AWAY!!! I wouldn't wish them on my worse enemy and their worst enemy by the way seems to be their customers!

I know what you mean when you say they raise your rates every year. I've been with them for 23 years, and my insurance goes up instead of down, and there's another guy on here that said he had 4 accidents with them and they never raised his rates. That doesn't make any sense to me at all. Who is your new insurance company?

They sure are giving you the run-around! Foot traffic, that's almost a story you'd hear a comedian tell b/c it's so unreal! I hope you have better luck with your new insurance. Thanks for sharing!
