Family Fun is chock full of really fun educational activities for families. Activities include crafts, toy-making, games, recipes, family traditions, experiments, and things to see and do in each region of the country. It also includes articles with quick solutions to common problems, parenting, nutrition, school, health, and toy/book reviews.
This magazine is a make-your-own and do-it-ourself guide for families. Make your own toys, crafts, games, traditions, and experiments with things you most likely have laying around the house. For example, the October issue always has creative, easy do-it-yourself costumes. The December issue has make-your-own gifts that are easy, inexpensive, and pretty cool! Most ideas are very practical and easy to do.
They also have great ideas for common solutions to everyday family problems from other parents. For example, to keep track of each child's school papers, permission slips, and homework, one parent suggested hanging a large envelope for each child's paperwork on the side of the fridge, so it doesn't get lost. Simple, practical advice from other parents.
They also have a great website that has tons of crafts, party ideas, gift ideas, and other information from past issues.
This magazine is really inexpensive, too. I've been subscribing for years and have never paid more than $9 per year. I've even found subscriptions for as low as $6 per year on magazine sales websites. DEFINATELY worth it!
