This is my usual Montreal hotel, and it's a lovely example of a what an upscale city hotel should be. Connected to both the train station and the Underground City, it's an easy walk to get to Ste. Catherine Street as well. Rooms are clean, quiet and well furnished with great views of the surrounding city and the Cathedrale Marie Reine-du-Monde. Good, if somewhat expensive, restaurants on site. I tend to take the elevator downstairs to the great food court at the train station for less expensive options. The garage on site also means you don't have to worry about on-street parking. … read full review »

The queenie was delightful! Check-in was a breeze. Even though we spoke very little French the staff was friendly and helpful. The room had a great big king sized bed with nice linens. We asked if we could have a nonpet room because of allergies. That was no problem. The window opened for fresh air. The location was nice-a short walk to good restaurants and down the elavator to the train station and underground mall.Dining: Short Walk, Bucono's was open late and the food was good. If you walk out the front door then straight across Rue Levesque past the fountain and down the steps … read full review »

As a frequent traveler on both business and leisure, one learns quickly to differentiate between those stretching to earn that high star rating and those who are solidly there. This hotel was not only there, they made it clear that this is their everyday corporate culture. Every staff member without exception was friendly and eager to be of assistance. We stayed on the club floor, which was not that expensive given the current exchange rates and the breakfast and other amenities included. We were totally pampered. It doesn't get any better than… read full review »

The Queen Elizabeth is a lovely hotel located right above the central train station. The hotel connects directly to the station which provides easy access to a variety of restaurants, cafes, and shops. The rooms are smaller than some US hotels, but spacious by European standards. We found our room nicely equipt and very comfortable.Shopping: Short Walk, If you look at the maps for the "underground city" you can manage to walk from the hotel to several different malls without ever stepping foot outside! —… read full review »

But what I really want to mention is the hotel person's kind and warm assistance. It is really awesome.Recreational Attactions: Short Walk, Historic and butiful old town is located just a short walk distance. It is very convinient for VIA train user too. —… read full review »
