I have tried My Space, but found it to be a little "young" for me. I now have a Facebook page and am enjoying finding old friends and co workers. It's a great way to keep in touch with pictures, and blogging about what is going on in your life. I have found numerous people I have lost contact with in the past 10 years and am having a blast finding out what is going on with them and seeing pictures of their families. I play Scrabble on Facebook with those in my friends list or even with people I don't know. I am not into all the quizzes or "hugging" applications, but I like the aspect that the pages are kept simple and clear. None of that obnoxious page formats like MySpace. I especially like the privacy features they provide. You can allow your picture albums to be publicly accessible or available only to friends which is great if you are posting current pictures of your children.
The only negative aspect I find is that people make their pages too busy with applications and their pages are annoyingly slow to load.
Bottom line, if you are an older person (I am 36) and are looking to find a social networking site, I would recommend Facebook.
